Season Standings
RoundBoss provides multiple ways to aggregate player performance across a full season. The league manager selects an aggregation mode in Settings, and the leaderboard adjusts accordingly.
Aggregation Modes
Standard leaderboard behavior -- total points (match play), average/cumulative net (stroke), or total stableford points. Best for most leagues.
Sum of weekly scores across all events. A simple running total for leagues that want straightforward accumulation.
Average score per event played. Fair comparison when players may miss weeks.
Points based on finish position each week, similar to the PGA Tour FedEx Cup system. Rewards weekly performance.
FedEx Cup Mode
When FedEx Cup mode is selected, each completed week is ranked independently by that week's scoring metric. Players receive FedEx points based on their finish position using a configurable points table.
Default FedEx Points Table
| Place | Points |
|---|---|
| 1st | 500 |
| 2nd | 300 |
| 3rd | 200 |
| 4th | 150 |
| 5th | 100 |
| 6th | 80 |
| 7th | 60 |
| 8th | 40 |
| 9th | 20 |
| 10th | 10 |
The points table is fully customizable -- managers can add or remove places and change the point values from the Season Aggregation settings panel.
Top-N Events Filter
Managers can optionally set a Count Top N Events value. When configured, only the player's best N weekly finishes count toward their season total. This rewards consistency and softens the impact of a single bad week.
For example, in an 18-week season with Count Top N set to 14, each player's worst 4 weeks are dropped automatically.
Fun Weeks
By default, fun week points count toward the season leaderboard. If the manager disables the Fun Weeks Count Toward Standings setting, fun week scores are excluded from all aggregation modes including FedEx rankings.
Purse and Payouts
Managers can configure one or more purse rules to define end-of-season prize distribution. Each purse rule includes:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | A label for the purse (e.g., "Season Prize Pool") |
| Buy-In | Amount per player. Total purse = buy-in x active player count. |
| Payout Table | List of places with either a fixed dollar amount or a percentage of the total purse |
| Min Rounds Played | Optional minimum events required to qualify for a payout |
How Payouts Are Computed
Total purse = buy-in multiplied by the number of active players.
Season standings are pulled from the selected aggregation mode (FedEx or standard leaderboard).
Players who have not met the minimum rounds requirement are filtered out and remaining players are re-ranked.
Each place receives either a fixed amount or a percentage of the total purse.
Managers can preview payouts at any time from the Purse Settings panel in the league settings.
Configuring Season Aggregation
Open your league and go to Settings.
Scroll to Season Aggregation and select a mode.
If using FedEx Cup mode, customize the points table and optionally set a Top-N filter.
Save your changes. The leaderboard will update to reflect the new aggregation mode.
Configuring Purse Rules
Open your league and go to Settings.
Scroll to Purse / Payouts and click Add Purse Rule.
Enter a name, buy-in amount, and payout table entries. Optionally set a minimum rounds played requirement.
Save the rule. You can add multiple purse rules per league.
Troubleshooting
The leaderboard still shows total points after switching to FedEx mode. Make sure at least one week has been locked (finalized). FedEx standings are calculated from locked weeks only.
A player's FedEx points seem wrong. Check whether fun week exclusion is enabled. If fun weeks do not count toward standings, those weeks are skipped in the FedEx ranking.
Purse payouts show "TBD" for a place. This means no player currently holds that finishing position -- either not enough rounds have been played or the minimum rounds filter excluded them.
