Kiosk, Auto-Session & Auto-Finalize

RoundBoss supports a hands-free simulator operations mode: the Bridge creates today’s sessions automatically, players check in at the bay’s kiosk, the kiosk launches GSPro on the right course, and completed rounds are finalized without manager intervention.

Simulator features require a Golf Course plan. See Billing.

Kiosk Mode

The kiosk is a touch-friendly screen served by the RoundBoss Bridge on the simulator PC — there is no batch file or separate browser setup. It is also reachable from inside GSPro: the Bridge installs a League Check-In button on GSPro’s main menu that opens the kiosk over the game.

Kiosk Screens

1
Home
Two choices: Start League Session or Free Play Mode.
2
Select League
Shows today’s scheduled league weeks (league name, holes, week number, date). If nothing is scheduled today you see “There are no scheduled league rounds for today.”
3
Player Check-In
The league roster with a checked-in counter. Players tap their name to check in, or tap the QR icon next to their name and scan the QR code with their phone — the phone must already have that player’s RoundBoss player link open, and the kiosk marks them checked in as soon as the scan lands. Players already playing or checked in at another bay are greyed out.
4
Start Round
Once the group is checked in, tap Start Round. A short countdown runs, the kiosk writes the league settings, and GSPro launches on the league’s configured course with the checked-in players.

Other Kiosk Screens

ScreenWhen you see it
Resume RoundGSPro crashed or was closed mid-round. Tap Resume Round on the check-in screen: recorded shots are kept, league settings stay locked, and GSPro continues from the last hole played.
Round Already RecordedStart Round was tapped for a group that already has recorded shots. The kiosk will not restart the round on its own. Game crashed? Use Resume Round. Need a do-over? Ask the league manager to Scrap Round from the league’s Simulator tab — then Start Round becomes available again.
Course Not InstalledThe league’s GSPro course folder is missing on this bay. The round is not started (it would load the wrong course). Install the course in GSPro, or have the league manager pick an installed course.
League AccessA password prompt (on-screen keypad) that protects the league controls — starting, resuming, and exiting league sessions. Free Play Mode and the home screen stay open for walk-ins.
Free Play ModePlay GSPro with any settings you like. To start a league round later, tap the League Check-In button in GSPro.
Exit League ModeClears the bay’s round state and returns GSPro to normal play (confirmation required).

Auto-Session

The Bridge automatically creates simulator sessions for today’s scheduled league weeks. This eliminates the need for a manager to manually start sessions each day. Creating a session by hand (New Session in the Simulator tab) is only a fallback.

How Auto-Session Works

  • When the Bridge starts, it checks for today’s scheduled league weeks
  • It periodically re-checks for newly scheduled events
  • For each league week scheduled today, it creates a session (or reuses an existing one)
  • If a session already exists for the same week and bay, the existing session is returned (no duplicates)

Requirements

Auto-session requires:

  • The Bridge is installed and running (see Bridge Installation)
  • At least one league has a week date matching today
  • The league was created as a Simulator league in the wizard (or has a course linked to a GSPro course)

Auto-Finalize

When all players in a session complete their round, the Bridge can automatically finalize scores into official league match records.

What Finalization Does

1
Map players
Maps each checked-in player to their league match for the week.
2
Write scores
Writes hole-by-hole scores from the live session into the official match record.
3
Mark completed
Marks the session as Completed.
4
Update leaderboard
Updates the leaderboard in real-time.

Once finalized, scores become the official league record. They appear on the leaderboard, in player portals, and in season standings.

Player StatusFinalization Result
Checked in, round complete, match foundScores written to official match record
Checked in but no match for this weekReported as error in finalization summary
Incomplete round (not all holes in the round played)Skipped by auto-finalize (manager can force-finalize manually)

Manual Finalize

info
If scores do not wrap up automatically (e.g., a player did not finish), you can do it yourself from the Simulator tab. Open the session, click Finalize Scores, check Force finalize if needed, and click Confirm Finalize.

Session Lifecycle

A simulator session moves through these statuses:

StatusMeaning
PendingSession created, waiting for players to check in
ActivePlayers checked in, waiting for round to start
Round StartedGSPro round in progress, live scores streaming
CompletedScores finalized into official league records

Stop vs. Scrap

Managers have two controls on an active session in the Simulator tab:

  • Stop Session — ends the session without writing scores. Use it to cancel a session (wrong week, technical issues, round will not count). Stopped sessions are archived and can be viewed by toggling “Show archived sessions.”
  • Scrap Round — wipes the session’s recorded shots so the group can replay the round from the kiosk. You choose which players to scrap and enter a reason; the action is audit-logged and listed in the session’s scrap history. This is the only way past the kiosk’s Round Already Recorded screen.

Manager Un-Check-In

If a player checks in to the wrong bay or session, managers can remove their check-in and let them try again.

  • In the Simulator Tab, find the active session and click the X button next to the checked-in player
  • The player's check-in is removed and they can re-check-in to the correct bay or session
  • Un-check-in is only available for active (non-completed) sessions

Last Week Play Window

The play window for the last week of a season uses the same interval as the gap between previous weeks. For example, in a weekly Monday league, every week has a 7-day play window. The last week also gets a full 7-day window rather than expiring on its start date. This ensures players always have the expected amount of time to complete their final round.

Troubleshooting

IssueSolution
Session not created automaticallyCheck that today's date matches a league week date. Verify the Bridge service is running
Kiosk shows no leagues todayThe league needs a week dated today and must be a Simulator league. Check the schedule in the Weeks tab
Player not on the check-in listThe player must be in the league roster. For QR scan check-in, their phone must have their RoundBoss player link open
Start Round shows Round Already RecordedUse Resume Round after a crash, or have the manager Scrap Round from the Simulator tab for a do-over
Start Round shows Course Not InstalledInstall the league's course in GSPro on that bay, or change the league's GSPro course to one that is installed
Auto-finalize not triggeringAll players must complete every hole in the round. Check the session detail for incomplete rounds
Scores not appearing after finalizeEnsure the player has a match assigned for this week. Check the finalization summary for errors
