Scramble
In a Scramble league every golfer on a team hits, the team picks the best shot, and everyone plays from there. The team records one gross score per hole, and teams are ranked by net score, lowest first. This is not Best Ball, where each golfer plays their own ball.
Scoring a Round
The team card holds a single gross score for each hole.
A scramble team gets one team handicap, built from its members with the league's Team Handicap Method (the team's own rolling average, a percentage of the members' combined strokes, USGA weighted, or none). See Team Handicaps.
Team handicap strokes go to the holes with the lowest stroke index. A team with more strokes than holes played gets a second stroke on the hardest holes.
Net for a hole = team gross minus the strokes given on that hole. The round's net total is the sum of the hole nets.
Season Standings
Teams are ranked by net score, lowest first, using the league's stroke leaderboard setting:
| Mode | What is ranked |
|---|---|
| Average | The team's average net total over the rounds it played, rounded to one decimal. |
| Cumulative | Net strokes versus par added up over the rounds it played, so skipping a week never moves a team up. |
- A week the whole team missed is not counted as a round played.
- Teams with no rounds played are listed at the bottom.
- Tied teams share a rank and are listed alphabetically. See Leaderboard.
- There is no hot streak icon for Scramble, because the icon counts team matchup points.
Managers can also set a per-team handicap cap. See Team Handicap Cap. For scramble outings, see Golf Outing.
