Player Guide

This guide explains how players use the RoundBoss mobile web app to follow their league.

Accessing Your Dashboard

RoundBoss emails you one personal link. Tap it to open your dashboard — it covers every league, challenge, and stat page you're part of, with a switcher at the top if you play in more than one. No account creation or password is required.

Bookmark the link or add it to your phone's home screen for quick access each week.

Dashboard

Your dashboard is the first thing you see when you open your link. It shows:

Current matchup or spot — In match play and team match play, your opponent for the week and the match status. In stroke play, Stableford, and scramble, there's no opponent — you (or your team) play your own round and are ranked against the field.
Scores — Once the manager enters scores, you will see hole-by-hole results with handicap strokes applied.
Points earned — Points or net score for the current week, depending on the league's format.
Upcoming round — Your next scheduled week, and your opponent if the league is match play or team match play.

Leaderboard

The leaderboard ranks all players in the league by total points. You can see where you stand at any time. Rankings include points from regular matches, Play the Card rounds, and makeup rounds.

A fire indicator appears next to the player (or team, in team formats) on a hot streak — whoever has scored the most points across the last two locked weeks (fun weeks excluded, unless the league counts fun weeks toward standings). For Stroke format, where the lower score is better, the icon goes to the low scorer instead.

Schedule

The schedule page lists every week of the season with:

Your opponent for each week (match play and team match play), or your own spot in the field (stroke play, Stableford, and scramble — no opponent, no byes).
Results and point totals for completed weeks. A round you finished tonight moves to Completed right away, tagged Provisional until your manager locks the week.
Upcoming weeks that have not been played yet.

Player Schedule — Mobile — Season schedule and results

League view — who's playing (and who's not facing anyone)

In match play and team match play, the Schedule tab has a League sub-tab that shows every matchup for a given week, not just your own. Use the week chips at the top to jump between weeks. Each matchup lists both sides with their season rank and handicap, and your own match is pinned to the top so it's easy to find. In stroke play, Stableford, and scramble leagues, this sub-tab instead lists everyone's (or every team's) score for the week ranked against the field, since there are no matchups.

The season rank shown here matches the Leaderboard tab — if your league uses FedEx Cup or tournament standings, this rank follows that mode too, not just raw season points.

Stats

Your personal stats page shows:

Rolling average — Your current 9-hole scoring average used for handicap calculations.
Week-by-week points — A breakdown of points earned each week.
Season totals — Cumulative points, matches played, and scoring trends.
Skins Wins and Low Net Wins — Tile counts of weeks you took home each pot (only shown when the league has those side games enabled).

Player Stats — Mobile — Personal performance statistics

A week your manager hasn't locked yet shows a Provisional tag next to its entry in your week-by-week breakdown — the same "final when your league manager locks the week" note as the Results page. Numbers can still move a little until the week locks.

Results & Earnings

A week's results show up on the Results page as soon as the first scores are in — you don't have to wait for the manager to lock the week. Until it is locked the week is marked Provisional — final when your league manager locks the week, because locking can still adjust the numbers. When the season standings include such a week, the Leaderboard says "Includes provisional results from Week N".

Your Results page also tracks any side-game money you've won across the season:

Skins Earnings — A green-gradient card listing every week you won a skin, with the dollar payout (and the carryover count rolled in). Hidden until you actually win one.
Low Net Earnings — Same layout for the weekly Low Net pot. Hidden until your first win. Each row shows the full pot for that week including any carried-over weeks (e.g. "$120 (3 carryover)").

Both pots carry over automatically when there's no unique winner — ties carry to the next week. The card shows a season total at the top and a week-by-week breakdown below.

Match Details

Tap any completed match to see the full scorecard:

Hole-by-hole scores for both players.
Handicap strokes applied (marked on the scorecard).
Points awarded per hole and the total bonus.

Your average for a past week is the average you carried into that week — it doesn't change as later rounds are played. The scorecard for a completed week always shows the strokes and average that were in effect at the time.

Entering Scores

If your manager allows player score entry, you can enter and edit your own scores from your dashboard. (Manager-finalized rounds and locked weeks stay read-only.)

New mobile score entry (rolling out)

Some leagues use a redesigned mobile score-entry experience called the Stepper. It has two tabs:

Hole tab — big +/- steppers for each score, player tabs to switch whose score you're entering, a progress bar with ★ markers on stroke holes, your live net total, and a stroke banner.
Scorecard tab — a full table with Par, Hdcp, gross, and Net columns, gold shading on holes where strokes apply, and tap-to-jump to any hole.

The Stepper is new and rolling out per league. Neither you nor your manager can switch it on from the app; RoundBoss turns it on for a league on request, and managers can ask at [email protected]. It is off by default and currently covers match play; best ball and team rounds are coming in a later phase. Leagues without it use the traditional hole-by-hole entry screen.

How Scoring Works

Scoring is configured by your league manager and may vary between leagues. In a typical setup, you earn points for each hole you win and a bonus for having the lowest total after 9 holes. For the full details, see Scoring Rules.

No App Required

RoundBoss runs entirely in your mobile browser. There is nothing to download or install. The interface is optimized for phone screens but works on tablets and desktops as well.

Lost Your Link?

Tap Reset my link on your dashboard if you get a new phone, lose access, or shared your link with someone else by mistake. Your old link stops working right away and RoundBoss emails you a new one. You can also ask your league manager to send you a new link.

If an old link ever stops working on its own — for example because you joined a league or challenge run by a different manager or facility — you'll see Your RoundBoss link has changed with an Email me my link button that sends your current link to the email on file. If you don't have an email on file yet, the screen will ask you to have your manager add one.
